Guernsey’s narrow, single-lane roads and strict vehicle regulations present major challenges for construction equipment operators. To ensure UCF Pumping could continue delivering efficient concrete pumping services across the island, Utranazz developed a bespoke pump manufactured to meet specific size and weight requirements..

Client Challenge

UCF Pumping required a truck-mounted concrete pump that could:

• Comply with Guernsey’s strict road width and weight regulations
• Operate safely along narrow, winding lanes, some just a single vehicle wide
• Deliver high-performance concrete pumping despite the compact format
• Set up and operate in restricted ground-space environments

Standard concrete pumps were too wide, too heavy, or required excessive space for stabilisation—making a custom engineering solution essential.

Utranazz supplied a custom-manufactured Sermac 4ZR20, mounted on a specially modified 2.3m-wide chassis with a GVW under 14 tonnes, making it fully compliant for use on Guernsey’s road network.
